EXPLODE AFRICA Q&A – Shameen Prashantham (Gorillas Can Dance)

The latest feature on my book – which might be of particular interest to my network connections in Africa – is an interview with Explode Africa.

Examples I refer to include the partnership between Ghanaian startup Bisa Health and Bayer G4A involving Bisa founder Raindolf Owusu and Bayer's Jesus del Valle, as well as the work of NGO Reach for Change (previously led by Amma Sefa-Dedeh Lartey) in facilitating corporate-startup partnering .

Also mentioned are some of my favorite examples of people who established startup partner initiatives, cited in the book: Jeremy Basset (The Unilever Foundry), Sheelpa Patel (INFINITI Motor Company) and Gregor Gimmy (BMW Startup Garage).

And couldn’t resist mentioning a quote by Gerald Brady of Silicon Valley Bank in my book that has got a fair bit of attention: "You can partner without investing, but you can’t invest without partnering”.

You can find more details of the conversation here: EXPLODE AFRICA Q&A – Shameen Prashantham (Gorillas Can Dance).
